Greetings and happy new year to everyone- my name is Jess and I’m a college student in my freshman year. My current job is refusing to schedule me and I currently don’t have enough money for living in the city this upcoming semester. I am an artist with open commissions, if you are interested in me making something for you, the information is in the photo below. DM me with any questions please.

there are so many trans people in the world and i know this to be true and yet it still blows my mind when i see a trans masc person trying to break into the mainstream whether it be as an author an actor a musician, what have you.
it reminds me that i had no trans masc role models. no one to look up to, not even a single fictional character to help ease the pain of grappling with my body in a world hellbent on telling me i was wrong. and now the only trans masc “role models” i have are my trans peers, but how can they be role models when we are all struggling together? when we are all searching aimlessly for representation? for guidance? for proof that we too, can have lives, and be human?
i will not die until this has changed. i will continue to make trans characters that trans people can look up to, that arent sob stories. we’ve cried more than enough tears.
every day i have lived since i was 14 was lived out of spite. because i refuse to give up on a world that doesnt want people like me. and i have remained visible because i refuse to give up on others who feel the exact same way. i know for a fact that youre out there. and i know for a fact that we can make a difference. if youre trans and havent already done so, i encourage you to create. to pick up a craft and leave your mark on the world. make the media youve always wanted to see. theres nothing to lose by trying. and anything you create will be worth it, i promise.
i didnt learn how to draw in a day, and i only recently started trying to write seriously. lets make the world a better place for those who are alive today, and the ones who will come after us.
